Cocoa Cram continues after school today in the library – take advantage of getting some extra help on your school work.

Remind for all Seniors the one and only time the 2017 Senior Class Picture will be taken is tomorrow at 9:30 in the gym.  Purchase your senior T-Shirt for $10 at the main office.  All Seniors on Friday are to report to the gym at 9:30.

Any Senior girls interested in the Azalea Pageant there will be an informational meeting today during lunch at the front office.

Today the JV/JV2 Girls Basketball play at South Medford.  JV2 at 4:30 and JV at 6 – bus departs at 12 PM during lunch.  Wrestlers travel to Hidden Valley – Bus departs at 1:30.

Cocoa Cram will continue today after school in the library…..Come drink some cocoa and cram for your finals.  Finish the First Semester Strong!

Seniors – The 2017 Senior Picture will be taken this Friday in the gym – All Seniors are to report to the gym on Friday at 9:30.  Purchase your senior T-shirt before Friday for $10 at the main office.  This is the one and only time this picture will be taken.

Cocoa Cram begins today after school in the library….come prep for your finals.  Cocoa Cram will also be on Wednesday and Thursday.  So come drink some cocoa and cram for you finals in the library.  Finish the First Semester Strong!

Today the JV2 Boys play at home against St. Bernard’s – tip off time is 6 PM in the Gym.   The other teams will be traveling to Douglas – JV Girl’s play at 3 PM.  JV Boys at 4:30.  Varsity Girls at 6 PM and Varsity Boys at 7:30. JV bus departs during break and Varsity bus departs at 11.

Please congratulate this month’s Students of the Month…Danika Leaver, Acacia Bell, Jacob Christensen, and Nick Boynton.  These students will have Zola’s pizza delivered today for lunch .  We thank them for showing Bruin Pride!

This Friday is Purple and Gold Day in remembrance for Edgar Canales….wear your purple and gold for Edgar on Friday.  Services for Edgar will be this Saturday, January 21st at 1PM at the Star Of The Sea Catholic Church.  Message from the family:  All is welcome to join with the family in celebrating the life of Edgar Canales and to show love and support to the Canales/Garcia Family.

This week’s winner of the Bruin Pride drawing are Ashley Shew and Alex Anaya.  Both of them will receive a pair of passes to the Redwood Theater.  Pick up your passes at the Attendance Office.

This is the last week to turn in your paperwork for Work Experience be sure to get all of your forms turned in to Mr. Dunn in the Guidance Office by Friday January 20th.

Don’t forget the 2nd Annual Empty Bowl project is tonight from 6 – 8 in the high school cafeteria.  All proceeds will benefit the local Brookings Harbor Food Bank.

Southern Oregon University, SOU will be in the Bruin Center on Tuesday the 17th at two different times.  At  11:00 they will give a presentation about their university.  They will then return at 12:30 to assist any senior with their applications.  Sigh up today in the Guidance Center.

Today during lunch the LGBTQ + Allies Club will meet in room 406.

BHHS is hosting the FWL Dual’s Wrestling Meet today.  Weigh’s in will start at 10:00 AM and wrestling will begin 12.  All spectators will sit upstairs in the balcony area.  There will be an admission charge.  Over 100 wrestlers will be competing.

Scholarship Application Week in underway…The Bruin Career Center will be available for you to complete your applications for scholarships or answer any of your questions.

Attention Jr & Sr Boys!  Mr. BHHS sign ups are at the office, we will be taking the first 6 Jr/Sr who sign up.  The theme this year is the Oscars so all of the contestants will act as a celebrity of their choice.  Mr. BHHS will be Wednesday, May 24th.

Scholarship Application Week is all this week.  The Bruin Career Center will be available for you to complete your applications for scholarships.  Help will be available if any questions that arise.  Seniors, ensure you are ready with any information or essays that may be requested.

The FWL game opener for Basketball will be this Friday against Marshfield.  JV Boys play at 4:15 in the Main Gym and JV Girls play at the same time in the Kalmiopsis Gym.  JV Boys 2 at at 6 PM at Kalmiopsis.  Varsity Girls will play at 6 PM and Varsity Boy at 7:30.

Do you want a Bike Park in Brookings?  If so there is a petition at the front office to sign.  Sign by Tuesday as the petition will be picked up from the main office.

Brookings Harbor Community Theater presents ‘Ordinary Days’ a show about life in New York City.  Show opens this Friday at 7 PM at the Dori Randall Performing Arts Center.  Following performances will be the 7th, 12th and 13th at 7 PM.  And 2 PM performances will be on January 8th and 14th.  Come out and support your local actors!
